“ I have to give a good rating because of quick service and good prices. However sometimes the food is a little dry and for whatever reason my idea of good Chinese food is soft and well, not dry. ”
“ I grew up eating Golden Gate as our go-to Chinese take out place. I've since moved away but still make a point to come back here every time I'm home. The American-Chinese classics like almond boneless chicken and fried rice are always good, but the homemade egg rolls are the real show-stopper. ”
“ I recently tried this place for the first time. I am quite picky when it comes to local Chinese places, so to be honest, I was not expecting much. I'm glad to say that I was wrong. We ordered the dinner for two as take out for three people. The quality of the food was excellent. They separate the meats from the sauces so nothing gets soggy. The chicken and pork were fried to perfection and had a very nice taste. The gravy for the chicken and sweet and sour sauce for the pork was excellent. The amount of food they give in dinner for two is very plentiful. It fed three and there was still food left over. The wonton soup is also top notch--very impressed. I also love their egg rolls. I usually find that Chinese places are hit and miss with one thing or another but this place was spot on with everything ordered. I've been back a couple times since and will continue to do so. ”
“ I'm not necessarily the best person to ask whether or not Chinese food is good, as I'm not a huge fan of chicken, or the way beef is cooked in Chinese restaurants. However, Golden Gate has the BEST crab rangoons and egg drop soup. My fiancé claims this to be the best Chinese food he's found since we moved back from Kalamazoo. The people here are extremely sweet, as well. I'd say give this place a shot. ”
“ My favorite Chinese restaurant in the area, hands down! The Almond Boneless Chicken with fried rice is a must and so is the Imperial Garlic Chicken. My family always orders extra egg rolls because they have the perfect crispy outside and flavorful filling on the inside. Mr. and Mrs. Wong are always so friendly when we come in. ”
